TD1204 : command AT$SB=1,2,1 does not behave as expected

by gloumi Fri Nov 25, 2016 9:03 pm

Hello,
i have a TD1204 device with its original firmware (versions at the bottom of this post) and i try since days making work the Sigfox downlink.
My device is working fine with uplink.

I tried AD$SF and AT$SB commands, documented in the V1.4 TD1204 reference manual, without success.

For exemple, using the AT$SB=1,2,1 command,
- the TD1204 responds OK as answer and the message is correctly transmitted to the Sigfox network (i receive it) but Sigfox says that there is no <ack> request in the message and do not provide any downlink message (of course).
- but the TD1204 does not respond anything after OK, and the +RX BEGIN expected message never appears as explained in the example of the reference guide screen copy below
- i probably miss something in the TD1204 initialization, but impossible to understand what !

Your module firmware is too old (SOFT1292), you need to get a firmware > SOFT1445 (check the "compatibility" section within the AT$SB command page in the reference manual).

Latest is SOFT2065, available at the bottom of this page.
